That’s rather a grand sounding title but it’s really just change, evolution if you will. I’ve written this blog (and everything else I’ve written electronically) on a Dell Inspiron laptop since 2011, with occasional phone posts.
It’s now 2024 and I’ve had to admit defeat, Windows 7 and a scratchy sounding disc drive just won’t do it anymore.
As I shift everything over to this nice matt finished recycled plastic ACER somethingorother under my fingertips I feel very vividly the life I’ve poured through that other now only partly functional keyboard. Holly growing up, my old life, my new life, family, all the engineering, the mountains, the music…
It’s not sad, despite me being an arch sentimentalist, it’s affirming maybe?
Maybe I’m just glad to still be here.
The first folder I downloaded was from my phone, it’s called “Photies”, a selection of old favourites. Let’s have a quick look back before we go forward.
I remember taking every one of these cameras old, new and borrowed and phones that eventually got good. Happy days all.
