Lorpen

Here’s something new in for test, Lorpen socks.
I’ve got a pair of Light Hikers, which as with all outdoor things these days have as much techno-babblae attached to them as an episode  of, I dunno, Sarah Jane Adventures, is that a good choice?
The basics are a three-layer construction, Coolmax next to the skin (which instantly eases my mind, Coolmax was born to be on your feet), Tencel fibres making up the body and a nylon outer to keep them in one piece.
The feel good, a nice thickness for wearing right now, ie summer/autumn, nice breathable areas on the top of the foot and medium/getting on for plush padding at the toe and heel.
More in a bit I dare say.

  1. i like my lorpen socks, have 3 pairs.

    nice, comfy and padded!

ps. when you doing your montane preview for 2011? and more news on the montane dyno?

  2. Worn them now, nice.

Montane soon, visiting North Face next month so I’ll probably tie it in with that. Should be fun, looking forward to seeing the all-new range.
